On Sunday, November 17 at 3:00 pm the Italia-America Cultural Foundation will present An Afternoon with David Righeschi at Albany's Palace Theatre! The gifted tenor will be accompanied by Maestro Longobardi, Carlo Beni (Italian Singer), Angelo Mazzone (Tenor), The Saratoga Youth Orchestra (under the direction of Maestro Longobardi) and the Capital District Youth Choral (under the direction of Diane Warner).
David Righeschi was born in Montevarchi, Tuscany, and gave his debut as the Duke of Mantova in Verdi's "Rigoletto" in 2001 together with his teacher, the famous Paolo Washington. Sang as a soloist in Verdi's "Messa da Requiem" in 2002, Rodolfo in Puccini's "La Boheme" at the Opera Houses in Cesena, Mantova, Bologna, Firenze, Lucca e Lignano, the Duke of Mantua in Verdi's "Rigoletto" in Milano, Bologna and Pesaro, Cavaradossi in Puccini's "Tosca" and Rinuccio in "Gianni Schichi" in 2003 in Florence, 2004 in "Il Viaggio a Reims" by Rossini, 2005 in "Boris Godunof" and since 2006 at the "Puccini Festival in Luca". 2008 won the "Puccini Premio del Pubblico"award in Viarreggio. In 2009 he opened his role as Manrico in Il Trovatore and starred in the Il Rigoletto under the direction of Alan Freles adding to his repotroire in 2010 the role of Calaf in Turnandot performed at the important Opera Wroclawska,in Poland and sung the role of Cavaradossi in Tosca in and was Rodolfo under the direction of Geoffredo Gori IN 2011 at the Puccini Festival. David has been the featured Tenor in performances throughout Italy and most of Europe and performed many concerts in France, Belgium and Greece, Germany, along with Isreal, Syria and Lebanon.
